Detailed Description:
Position Summary: This position is primarily responsible for the control of the organization's financial resources and the reporting of its' historical financial information. Specific responsibilities include: accurate and timely preparation of monthly GAAP-compliant financial statements with variance explanations; management of the annual audits for all legal entities, including the Limited Partnerships; management of audits by Grantors and other funding sources; management of the Grant Accounting staff; management of the Accounting Manager; Management of the Payroll Supervisor; managing asset reporting and tax related filings; and development, implementation, and management of internal controls.
Minimum Education and Experience: BA degree in accounting and 5 years experience as a Controller in a nonprofit organization.
Market Education and Experience: BA in accounting, California CPA, 5 years experience as a Controller in a nonprofit organization.
Preferred Education and Experience: BA with advanced coursework in accounting field, California CPA, 10 years experience as Controller in a large nonprofit organization.
