2011-12-04: Bring CS100 back from the dead

The last time my CS100 was offered was almost four years ago in the Fall of 2008. Department chair Dr. Perla Myers would like to resurrect this wonderful course. She hopes to offer this course in the Spring semester of 2012. If you had taken this course and have positive things to say about it, could you write me a line or two? Perhaps we can include your testimonial in a flyer that helps to bring CS100 back from the dead.

2009-11-27: Study DBMS or Web Programming in Paris, June 1 to June 30, 2010

USD has a nice four week summer study in Paris program. I would be interested in teaching CS345: Database or CS494: Web Application Development for this program. These courses would serve USD students well because the department does not offer these courses often enough. They also serve CS students elsewhere nicely because such courses are not usually offered in the summer. A course requires a minimum of eight students. If you are interested, please email me at liao@sandiego.edu. Please tell me which course you would be interested. For other questions about the USD study abroad program, please visit http://www.sandiego.edu/international.
